This Is Not a Werewolf Story

Here is another book recommendation for 9-14-year-olds! I'm sure you'll love it!

Title: This Is Not a Werewolf Story

Author: Sandra Evans

Synopsis: This is the story of Raul, a boy of few words, fewer friends, and almost no family. He is a loner—but he isn’t lonely. All week long he looks after the younger boys at One Of Our Kind Boarding School while dodging the barbs of terrible Tuffman, the mean gym teacher.

Like every other kid in the world, he longs for Fridays, but not for the usual reasons. The woods have secrets...and so does Raul. As soon as the other students go home for the weekend, Raul makes his way to a lighthouse deep in the heart of the woods. There he waits for sunset—and the mysterious, marvellous shapeshifting phenomenon that allows him to go home, too.

My Opinions: This book is thrilling and the storyline is gripping. A heartwarming book that shows the relationship between Raul and his peers, family and teachers. There was a twist in the end that you will definitely not see coming (until I told you this)!

Fellow Bookworms,  It's been a long time since I posted! It feels great to be back! Here is another one of my favourite books that is suitable for children at the ages of 9-12.  Title: Mayday Author: Karen Harrington Synopsis: Wayne Kovok lives in the world of 'After'.
